Terms and conditions for treatment

Fees are fixed and dependent on the treatment/s required for/by the patient. A patient’s fees must be agreed by all parties before any treatment commences. We reserve the right to increase a fee if the treatment will be more than originally planned, again this will be in agreement with all parties.

Payments for private patients must be made at the time of treatment. Payment for all other treatments through companies is required at time of treatment or within 7 days of the invoice date. Payment methods are shown on our invoices.

If a patient is more than 15 minutes late for their scheduled appointment, it will be at the discretion of the Physiotherapist if they can be treated or not. Late cancellations and non-attendances will be charged at the full price. Appointments may be cancelled or changed, providing there is a minimum of 24 hours’ notice before the booked appointment time/date.

The patient will always be assessed by a qualified physiotherapist, usually be on a one-to-one basis (unless otherwise agreed) and in the privacy of the treatment room or in a chosen domiciliary setting. Our physiotherapists are all registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapists and will examine and treat the client in line with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy’s code of practice.

After examination, the physiotherapist will explain the assessment of the presenting concerns and propose treatment if appropriate, explaining what is involved, including any risks. The client may decline any of the treatments proposed, without prejudice. The patient’s appointment/s will be scheduled according to their needs and to the best of our ability.

Late cancellations and non-attendances will be charged at the full price. Appointments may be cancelled no less than 48 hours before the appointment time/date.

All our physiotherapists have professional full indemnity insurance and Healthsec Rehab also holds all required business insurances.

We treat all information, facts, matters, documents, and all other materials of a confidential nature which we receive or create because of a client’s treatment as confidential. All written, audio, visual and video records will be stored securely. Information shared within the treatment sessions will be treated with the strictest of confidence and at no time will this information be shared with any third parties without the patient’s consent.

Healthsec Rehab confirms that we are GDPR compliant and are registered with the Information Commissioners Office on the “Register of Data Controllers” as required by the Data Protection Act 1998. All data held by us is processed in accordance with GDPR.

Patients are required to consent to assessment and treatment. They are expected to respect the clinician during the treatment sessions. Aggressive or abusive behaviour will not be tolerated. A patient’s permission will always be required for audio/video recording and for the circulation of reports to other relevant professionals.

Reports or letters are charged in respect of the total time taken to prepare them. Telephone conversations over 15 minutes will be charged. Administration charges will be billed are at £25.00 per hour.

The patient is free to withdraw from therapy at any time, without stating a reason provided that 24 hours’ notice is given for any booked appointments. Healthsec Rehab reserves the right to terminate therapy at any time.
